Everything here is done at the bench on Shirley Avenue. Nothing is sent out to a third party, and you deal with the person doing the work.
What we do
Watch Repair & Service
Full service on mechanical movements. Disassembly, cleaning, new gaskets and mainspring where needed, fresh lubrication, regulation and timing in several positions. Two to four weeks depending on parts. Vintage and pocket watches welcome.
Batteries & Seals
Quartz batteries fitted with new gaskets as a matter of course, then pressure tested so you know the case is actually sealed. Usually done while you wait. If a cell has leaked we will tell you plainly what the movement looks like inside.
Crystals, Crowns & Bracelets
Scratched or cracked crystals replaced, worn crowns and stems repaired, bracelet links added or taken out, pins and spring bars fitted. Small jobs, most of them the same day.
Jewelry Sales
A counter rather than a showroom. Gold chains, wedding bands, and estate pieces that came through the shop and were worth keeping. Prices are marked and there is no haggling theatre.
Jewelry Repair & Sizing
Ring sizing, chain and clasp repair, soldering, restringing pearls, prong retipping and stone tightening. Done in the shop, which means about a week rather than a month.
Gold & Jewelry Appraisal
Weighed and tested at the counter while you watch. Written valuations for insurance and for estates. We buy gold as well, and when a piece is worth more than its metal we say so before making an offer.
