Who we are
A family watch and jewelry shop in Euclid, Ohio, run by the third generation.
My grandfather Alfredo came from Bari in 1951 and opened the bench on Shirley Avenue seven years later. My father took it over in 1986. I have been running it since 2009, and I still use two of the tools Alfredo brought with him.
Most of what comes across the counter is a mechanical watch that has stopped, a chain that needs a clasp, or a bag of gold somebody inherited and does not know what to do with. All three get the same treatment, which is that you find out what you have before anybody talks about money.
What we do
Watch Repair & Service
Full servicing of mechanical movements, battery and gasket work on quartz, crystal replacement, crown and stem repair, pressure testing. Vintage pieces are welcome and usually the most interesting thing on the bench that week.
Jewelry Sales
A counter rather than a showroom. Gold chains, wedding bands, and estate pieces that came through the shop and were worth keeping. Sizing and repairs are done here, not sent out to a third party.
Gold & Jewelry Appraisal
Weighed and tested at the counter while you watch, with the numbers written down before anyone talks about price. We buy gold, and we will tell you when a piece is worth more than its metal.
